Business Manager/Grant Financial Officer
Position Summary
This person will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) office as well as providing assistance to ensure all open grants programs of the NBDC and CBA are being properly executed and reported upon.
The Business Manager Grant Financial Officer (BM/GFO) will oversee compliance for government (federal and state) grants and cooperative agreements for the NBDC and provide support and consultation to the departments in the College of Business Administration (CBA) for government grants and cooperative agreements as needed.
Job Duties
Financial & Grant Management (40%)
- Manage and track awards and expenses of all open grant programs
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal and grants accounting requirements
- Assist with grant effort reporting
- Monitor sub-award grantees
- Prepare monthly summary spreadsheets of grant expenditures
Supervision (10%)
- Responsible for supervising the operations of the NBDC
- Supervise and manage 1 or more administrative staff
Business Manager/Human Resources for NBDC (20%)
- Monitor and help implement personnel policies at NBDC
- Support hiring, separations, performance evaluations
Budget/Financial Administration (30%)
- Budget preparation for grants
- Advise on allowability of expenditures per 2 CFR 200
- Monitor NBDC state aided account
