Business Systems Analyst
Primary Purpose of the Organization
The primary goal of the Office of Admission at Fayetteville State University is to attract and enroll a diverse student body that represents a wide range of geographic, religious, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. To do so, the Office of Admission will work closely with alumni and other constituencies to support recruitment efforts while promoting excellent customer service & transparency about the admission process.
Primary Purpose of the Position
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system within the Admissions Office. This role involves managing data, developing workflows, creating reports, and training staff to ensure the CRM is effectively utilized to enhance student recruitment and admissions processes. The Business Systems Analyst works closely with the admissions team, IT department, and other campus offices to ensure seamless communication and data integrity. The CRM Specialist is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of the CRM system within the Admissions Office.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Business, Information Technology, or Marketing and one-year relevant work experience.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Oral and written skills to present metrics to large and small groups of internal stakeholders and to interact individually with faculty/staff.
- Interpret data for various audiences.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask are essential for success in this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two - three (2-3) years CRM experience in a higher education admissions setting.
- Experience in data management, analytics and reporting.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Slate, Admission Pros, etc.).
- Technical proficiency, including knowledge of SQL, Excel, and other data management tools.
