BUYER, Office of Vice President for Finance, purchases primarily standard catalog materials, supplies, equipment, and services at the best possible price and value to the Institute, from generally known sources, and established purchase arrangements.

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree; a minimum of one year of experience in procurement or related field; a minimum one year of experience delivering customer service; demonstrated Microsoft Office Suite experience; self-motivated with strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills; highly organized with the ability to ensure timely delivery of all assignments; a proven capability to handle multiple priorities and to ensure timely follow through and detail-oriented; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to use discretion, tact, and good judgment working with highly sensitive and confidential information; a collaborative working style and ability to foster interpersonal relationships within the team and the wider community; flexibility and willingness to pitch in with the team to get the job done on all tasks, and to modify approach as required by the situation; demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in learning new tasks, taking on new assignments, and supporting team initiatives. PREFERRED: Knowledge of Buy-to-Pay/Coupa System; SAP experience; experience with procurement operations (liaison between suppliers and VPF); Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) license; MIT experience.

This is a benefits eligible, one year term position with the possibility of renewal for up to three years.
