The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applicants for a Cadet Clubs & Organization Manager in the Department of Cadet Activities. This role is responsible for management/oversight and providing administrative services for clubs and organizations organized under the Department of Cadet Activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the completion of special orders for club/organization activities; completing and maintaining paperwork/club charters and coordinating logistics for club events
- Works with Institutional Planning Committee approval for club events/activities, venue booking, catering, marketing, and necessary permit and monitor event execution, addressing any issues that may arise
- Ensures student clubs/organizations comply with Citadel policies and procedures regarding club registration, activities, and financial reporting ensuring accurate records of club activities and submit necessary reports to the Director of Cadet Activities
- Responsible for the recommendation of disciplinary action for violations of club operating policies and procedures
- Acts as the financial point of contact for all financial accounts organized under the Department of Cadet Activities
- Will be required to follow Citadel and State regulations and policies, and maintaining accurate records for reconciliation and audit purposes
- Reviews and approves club budgets; provides SME on club fundraising activities, monitor club spending, and guides financial reporting; conducts regular financial audits to maintain transparency and accountability IAW Citadel & State Policies
- Organize and execute club advisor training, fairs, and other combined recruitment events; participate in routine department meetings
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree is required AND experience in finance, administration of student social and recreational functions and activities. Must be able to serve as a role model for cadets. Must be able to balance a very demanding schedule with cadet support as top priority. Must understand leader development theory, especially at the young adult level. Position requires some evening and weekend hours.
