Job description

• Background of the recruitment and description of the project
• Department of multimedia wireless system, Faculty of environmental, life, natural science and technology, Okayama University, promotes education and research in the fields of sophisticated signal processing technologies such as digital signal processing and security processing, which can be applied to communication networks including wireless networks, especially, internet of things (IoT), and so on.
• We are seeking highly motivated individuals who can play central roles in education and research in those fields. We especially welcome those who actively promote various research projects for big research funds, practical educations at the undergraduate and graduate levels, international exchanges, and industry-academia collaborations.
• Work content and job description
• (1) Education and Research at Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology: Each of the successful applicants is expected to assist professors to supervise graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research, and conduct own research.
• (2) Education at School of Engineering: Each of the successful applicants is expected to take a charge of experiment classes related to information and communication systems as well as to assist professors to supervise undergraduate students in their research.
• (3) Assistance of organizational management at Okayama University

Wages

• Annual Salary: 5 million yen ~
• Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary: Assistant Professor 5,556,000-6,498,000yen
• An annual salary system is applied.
• The amount of annual salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, work experience, etc. according to the Okayama University annual salary Regulations.
• The percentage of annual performance pay depends on the length of service within six months prior to the base date (June 1 and December 1), and the performance rate varies depending on the results of the evaluation.
• As allowances, commuting allowance, support allowance, housing allowance, adjustment allowance, etc. will be paid separately to the applicable employees.

Working hours

• Working hours: 08:30-17:30
• Holidays: Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)
• Overtime and other explanations: If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
