- Salary Package: $102,136 - $112,741 per annum (HEW Level 6) plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in advancing precision cancer therapy? Macquarie University is seeking a Cancer Biobank Coordinator to join the Precision Cancer Therapy (PCT) Research Group within the Macquarie Medical School.
About the Role
Reporting to the Professor of the Precision Cancer Therapy Research Laboratory, the Cancer Biobank Coordinator will coordinate biobanking activities and provide technical expertise across the research group's operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the strategic implementation of patient recruitment and biospecimen collection programs
- Collaborating with clinicians and research scientists to ensure timely collection of patient samples and data
- Undertaking database management and data analysis, including computational and statistical analysis, for the PCT Research Group
- Performing complex molecular and cellular biology research techniques and related experiments
- Coordinating and providing technical expertise to academic staff and HDR students with running research experiments
- Implementing new technologies and changes to the use of existing technologies
- Contributing to the preparation of research data for presentation and publication, and presenting results at internal and external meetings
- Providing training and guidance to higher degree research students and staff in laboratory research techniques, ensuring standard operating procedures, safety, and best practice are maintained
- Coordinating day-to-day laboratory operations, including monitoring and maintaining stock levels of consumables
- Conducting laboratory risk assessments and preparing material safety data sheets (MSDSs) prior to sourcing new substances
- Complying with relevant EEO and WHS regulations
