About the Department
The Office for Student Affairs’ (OSA’s) Care and Student Advocate
Services (CSAS) Unit supports students navigating the University
through offering support and resource/process navigation. For
students navigating stress and hardship, CSAS meets with students
to identify priorities, address needs, and offer compassion along
the way. For students suspected of misconduct, CSAS balances due
process rights with fostering developmental outcomes. Formally two
separate units, (Care Team and Student Advocacy Services), these
units were combined in 2024 for greater collaboration,
cross-training opportunities for staff, visibility, flexibility in
resource allocations, and potential for synergy.
