- Full-time (100%), fixed-term position.
- Base salary will be in the range $95,361.61 - $102,302.91 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)
- Based at our vibrant and picturesque St Lucia Campus
About This Opportunity
As a Career Services Advisor, you will deliver a diverse range of career services and employability activities for students in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL). Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you will partner with key Faculty and University stakeholders to support students’ career development and global employability.
The role involves delivering career development learning for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including international cohorts, through tailored career advice, workshops, events and resources. You will engage with academics, industry, alumni and student groups, contribute to strategic initiatives, and support the development of promotional content across digital and print channels.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Design and deliver a diverse range of career development services, including workshops, consultations, virtual events, online resources and mock recruitment activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, employers, alumni, students and academic partners to support high-quality employability initiatives
- Lead and manage co-curricular employability programs, ensuring effective coordination, compliance, systems management and reporting
- Monitor employability and recruitment trends and contribute to continuous improvement through data insights, stakeholder feedback and targeted marketing content

About You
- Qualifications and training equivalent to an undergraduate degree in business, economics, law, human resources or a related discipline, with experience in talent acquisition, human resources, learning and development or similar fields
- Proven ability to collaboratively design and deliver engaging face-to-face and online co-curricular and extra-curricular learning experiences that support students’ employability and professional development
- Strong understanding of university degree structures, graduate employability trends and emerging recruitment practices, and their impact on career readiness
- Demonstrated capability to support the employability needs of international students across Australian and global labour markets, with cultural awareness and effective industry and stakeholder engagement highly regarded
- Ability to manage a varied workload with autonomy and flexibility, coordinate multiple projects, and contribute to continuous improvement of team processes while working collaboratively
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, criminal history checks.
This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements.
