Casual Academic - School of Veterinary Science
About This Expression of Interest
The School of Veterinary Science has casual positions available for tutoring and teaching undergraduate veterinary science and veterinary technology students.
The practical and teaching skills we are looking for are:
- Husbandry procedures all species
- Clinical examination of large animals
- Clinical examination of small animals
- Small animal anaesthesia and general anaesthesia skills
- Animal reproduction and theriogenology
- Surgical procedures
- Preclinical teaching in foundational disciplines including anatomy and physiology
- Radiology
Our Ideal Candidate
The successful applicants will be veterinarians, or veterinary nurses/technicians. Postgraduate students in the veterinary fields or experienced tutors in preclinical disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
You must have ongoing unrestricted work rights in Australia to apply for this opportunity.

What We Can Offer
This is a Casual position. As such, there is no firm advance commitment to ongoing or indefinite work. Casual Academics at The University of Queensland School of Veterinary Science are paid in accordance with The University of Queensland Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026 (Enterprise Agreement).
