Casual Academic Talent Pool - School of Population Health - Medicine

The School of Population Health is internationally recognised as a leader in Public Health and Health Leadership and Management with particular research strengths in Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases, Health Services Management, Global Health, Indigenous Health and Primary Health Care. The School has a core focus to investigate and provide new knowledge to help inform policy, governance, organisation, work and leadership in the health sector through cross disciplinary research with both academia and industry.

The School of Population Health is seeking applications for casual opportunities. Join the SPH team to :

The positions are available to those who have studied and have practical experience in the development and/or delivery of teaching in public health, health leadership and management, global health and medicine. Casual academic staff will work closely with the course convenors and will be expected to demonstrate understanding of the content for the courses they wish to work in.

There are opportunities to contribute to both on-campus and online activities and the following roles are available:

  • Tutoring and or Facilitations
  • online support (e.g., monitoring Moodle forums, online moderation),
  • marking
  • online consultation and the production of online resources.

Familiarity with Moodle is essential

We encourage Expressions of Interest from experienced tutors, demonstrators, markers and lecturers who are excited to collaborate across different disciplines and be a part of an integrated teaching team.

We are recruiting tutors and markers throughout 2026 and you will be contacted for an interview if your skills, qualifications, and experience are suitable.

The EOI portal will allow you to select which courses you would like to contribute to and the extent of your qualifications and experience so we can better assess your suitability and potentially meet your need for flexibility.
