About the Role:
Australian Catholic University (ACU) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Casual Sessional Biomedical Science Lecturers, Tutors and Demonstrators to support undergraduate teaching within the Science Discipline (North Sydney).
These roles will contribute to high-quality teaching through lectures, tutorials and/or laboratory classes, assessment marking and student support. Expertise in Biochemistry and/or Mathematics for Science students is highly regarded, reflecting current and future teaching workforce requirements. This EOI will support ongoing workforce planning and flexible deployment across teaching periods.

About The Faculty of Health Sciences:
The Faculty of Health Sciences comprises three schools: Allied Health, Behavioural and Health Sciences, Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine; and is represented across seven ACU campuses. About National School of Behavioural and Health Sciences:
The National School of Behavioural and Health Sciences is currently responsible for the delivery of programs in six professional disciplines: Biomedical Science; Exercise Physiology; Exercise Science; Nutrition Science; Public Health; Psychology. Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching activities aligned with approved unit outlines.
- Support student learning through lectures, tutorials, workshops and/or practical classes.
- Apply inclusive, student-centered teaching approaches
- Mark assessments in accordance with approved rubrics and moderation processes
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student learning and progression
- Foster a respectful, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Provide academic guidance and escalate student concerns as required
- Comply with ACU academic policies, assessment standards and teaching requirements
- Participate in team meetings, moderation activities and required professional development.
You will need to have:
- Expertise in Biochemistry and/or Mathematics for Science students will be highly regarded to support current and future teaching workforce requirements
- Relevant postgraduate qualification (completed or in progress) in a science, health or related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to communicate disciplinary knowledge clearly to undergraduate students
- Capacity to support diverse student cohorts with varying academic backgrounds
- Strong organisational skills and reliability
- Previous university-level teaching, tutoring or demonstrating experience
- Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g. Canvas)
- Laboratory or practical teaching experience (where applicable)
