CQUniversity Student Residences (Capricornia College) is looking for an enthusiastic Casual Chef to join our dynamic catering team. This flexible role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy kitchen and enjoys variety in their work.

You will be required to comply with National HACCP Standards while working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced commercial kitchen environment. This includes preparing meals for residents and guests of the college, as well as supporting catering services for internal and external events delivered through our 200 Degrees Catering business. You will work collaboratively within a skilled team to produce high‑quality food in an efficient and timely manner. This position also requires the delivery of exceptional customer service, supported by strong communication and effective time‑management skills.

Position Requirements

• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Detailed and demonstrated knowledge of menu planning for a broad range of catering styles and functions, including bulk cooking, ala carte and dietary requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, autonomously and be able to deliver high quality food and customer service for clients.
• Follow safe work practices and take reasonable care of own and others health and safety.
