About the Team:The Migration Law team sits within Victoria University’s College of Arts, Business, Law, Education and IT, supporting the delivery of high-quality, industry-relevant education. The team works closely with academics and professional staff to ensure smooth coordination of teaching, assessment, and student outcomes. With a strong focus on compliance and accuracy, the team plays a critical role in maintaining academic standards and supporting student success.
About the Role:This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your administrative career within a dynamic higher education environment. Working closely with the Senior Administrative Officer, you will support key academic processes including assessment coordination, exam preparation, and reporting. You’ll gain hands-on experience with university systems and Learning Management Systems while contributing to the smooth delivery of a specialised program. This is an ideal role for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with data and spreadsheets, and thrives in a structured yet collaborative team environment.
Position Key Duties:
Support the coordination and administration of assessments, including exams and assignments.
Assist in compiling, formatting, and quality-checking assessment materials.
Generate and maintain reports from university systems to support academic and administrative processes
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with compliance requirements.
Provide administrative support to the Senior Administrative Officer and academic staff
Assist with data entry, tracking, and reconciliation using spreadsheets and internal systems.
Support the use and administration of Learning Management Systems (e.g. uploading materials, maintaining content, publishing news/student communication).
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of teaching and assessment activities
Position Details:
Classification: HEP5.1
Hourly Rate: $51.59 (includes 25% casual loading)
Employment Type: Casual
Hours per Week: 6-10 hours per week and more during peak hours
Location: Hybrid (Online and Footscray Park or City Tower campus)
About You:
You will need strong admin skills and comfortable with Outlook, MS office, and spreadsheets. If you have used Learning Management System particularly VU Collaborate that’s useful too.You will also have excellent communication skills to liaise with academics and students.
