About the Position
Situated within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, the Biomedical Sciences discipline is responsible for the Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Bachelor of Health Sciences and associated Honours programs. The Discipline invites applications from suitably qualified candidates with relevant backgrounds in biomedical science and teaching experience in one or more of the disciplines taught within the programs, including chemistry, cell biology, anatomy & physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology and research methodology.
The positions are to provide casual teaching support to the subject convenors and may include demonstrating in laboratory classes, leading tutorials and workshops, marking, and other subject-related activities. Our teaching groups are small, allowing tutors and demonstrators to provide personalised support to students.
These roles are available on an ‘as-needed’ basis to meet the teaching needs of the Bond Biomedical Science and Health Sciences programs.
About the person
Successful candidates will have at least a bachelor’s degree with Honours or equivalent in a relevant field, ideally Biomedical Science or a similar discipline. They will have experience in effective teaching relevant to biomedical science disciplines within an Australian university context at an undergraduate level. These casual opportunities are ideal for candidates who are passionate about working in a higher education setting.
Salary details
Applicants will be remunerated in accordance with the Bond University Casual Academic pay scales. Hours rostered will depend on the operational requirements of the faculty.
