The role

The University of Newcastle is seeking a Change and Adoption Analyst to support the delivery and adoption of digital technology initiatives, with a primary focus on Digital Infrastructure Projects

This role sits within Digital Technology Solutions (DTS), reporting to the Customer Success Lead and embedded within the AV Refresh team. You will work across multiple initiatives and projects, taking direction from both Project Managers and Program Managers, and partnering closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure technology changes are understood, adopted and embedded.

The role is suited to someone with hands-on experience delivering end-to-end change and adoption activities, who is comfortable operating in a project-based environment and juggling multiple priorities.

What you’ll do:

  • Working under the guidance of the Customer Success Lead, Project & Program Managers, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of structured change management activities, including:
  • Developing detailed change, communication and training plans aligned with project and program objectives
  • Conducting stakeholder analysis and change impact assessments across varied user groups
  • Delivering change and adoption activities including communications, workshops and training sessions
  • Supporting adoption of AV and collaboration technologies in teaching and meeting spaces, including Zoom-based environments
  • Identifying training needs and supporting the creation or curation of training and knowledge content
  • Monitoring adoption, training completion and knowledge usage, and reporting on outcomes
  • Gathering and responding to stakeholder feedback to continuously improve adoption approaches
  • Ensuring change artefacts and documentation meet governance and quality

You will be part of the Customer Success function within Digital Technology Solutions, working closely with project delivery teams, AV specialists, and University stakeholders. The role is embedded in delivery and plays a key part in ensuring technology investments translate into sustained user outcomes.

This fixed term position is full time at a HEW 7 Higher Education Worker level for 12 months and is based at Callaghan

About you

You will bring experience in change management, adoption, communications, engagement or training within project or program environments. You are confident working with stakeholders, translating technical change into clear messages, and delivering practical adoption activities.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability
  • Experience delivering change, training or adoption activities within technology-enabled initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively under project and program governance
  • Well-developed planning, coordination and documentation skills

Experience with structured change frameworks such as PROSCI is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with AV or collaboration platforms, including Zoom, is desirable but not essential.
