"Chemistry Faculty"

College of Saint Mary seeks to hire a faculty position for Chemistry. This is a 10-month (open rank) faculty position with opportunity for promotion and renewable extended contract. The successful candidate will be expected to teach General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Upper-Level Chemistry courses (based on areas of expertise). They will also be expected to develop undergraduate specialty courses in their area of expertise and mentor students in undergraduate research.

Our Ideal Candidate’s Education and Experience:

• A completed Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field
• Experience in laboratory instruction, preparation, and maintenance is desirable
• A demonstrable ability to teach lecture and laboratory courses to undergraduates demonstrating a wide array of preparedness

This Position Is Responsible For:

• Teaching 12 workload credit hours per semester
• Holding 10 office hours per week
• Program assistance as needed
• Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to support student success
