Chemistry, Part-Time Faculty Pool

Position Description

Chaffey College is seeking applicants for the adjunct faculty pool in the Chemistry Department. All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Chemistry instructors (below). Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in chemistry; OR
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biochemistry; AND
• Master's in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology or geochemistry; OR
• The equivalent.; AND
• Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.

MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF AN INTERVIEW. Applications will be evaluated taking into account the breadth and depth of relevant education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in teaching intro chemistry and/or general organic and biochemistry and/or elementary organic and biochemistry.
