Chief Nurse Administrator
About the Position:
The Chief Nurse Administrator (CNA) is a member of the Council of Administrators and the Deans Council, reporting directly to the Dean for the College of Nursing & Health Sciences (CoNHS). The CNA is responsible for the administration of the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs under the supervision of the Dean for the College for Nursing and Health Sciences. The CNA provides effective leadership to achieve the mission, vision, goals, and expected outcomes of the nursing programs, consulting as appropriate with faculty and other communities of interest to recommend decisions that align with the CoNHS mission and vision. The CNA works collaboratively to promote a collaborative, innovative, regulatory sound, and accreditation compliant environment for the success of the nursing programs. This is a full-time/at-will administrator position. The salary range is $100,328-$160,965 with salary placement based upon qualifications and experience.
Qualifications:
Qualifications for this position include: (1) an earned doctoral degree in nursing from a regionally accredited program and institution; (2) Registered Nurse with an active, unencumbered Nursing License; (3) demonstrated 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within an accredited nursing program, e.g., department chairperson, program director/coordinator; (4) six years of successful experience in higher education and academic credentials appropriate for the rank of Associate Professor; and (5) evidence of prior success in teaching, service to the institution in a significant and impactful manner, and scholarship as it relates to the individual’s chosen field.
