Position:
The College of Health Professions invites applications for a tenure-track, 9-month Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position in the Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science. Preferred begin date, August 2027.
Qualifications:
Earned research doctoral degree by February 28, 2028. Licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Maryland; teaching experience in occupational therapy or occupational science; and active research agenda with capacity for scholarly productivity and external funding. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated awareness and clear articulation of strategies to foster an inclusive learning environment. Commitment to excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship, and service. Salary is commensurate with experience and rank; ABD candidates will be hired at the rank of instructor until doctoral degree is completed.
Candidates wishing to be considered for the rank of Associate Professor should have 6 years of experience teaching in higher education or comparable qualifications, and demonstrate a clear line of research with scholarly outcomes.
Salary and Benefits
Targeted salary range: $84,000-87,000 commensurate with experience for Assistant Professor; $92,000-98,000 commensurate with experience for Associate Professor.
