CHS Non-Clinical Adjunct Faculty - Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated faculty member to join our team part-time, teaching courses and advising students in our Master of Public Health (MPH) and/or Master of Health Care Administration (MHA) programs. What youāll do:
- Teach and/or coordinate online graduate courses in public health or health administration related to area of content expertise. Teaching courses includes preparation of the syllabus, preparation of learning materials (e.g., lectures, presentation, identification of appropriate readings / content), frequent and clear communication with students, strong faculty engagement and presence in the online course, responsiveness to student questions (via email or in the course site).
- Seek and evaluate innovative educational methodologies to improve teaching and learning activities.
- Modify course content, assessments, and/or teaching style based on assessment results, professional development experience, and curricular mapping results.
- Participate in departmental course peer-review process.
- Participate in instructor evaluation, assessment of student academic achievement and demonstrate modification of teaching techniques in accordance with assessment feedback.
- Serve as an academic advisor for Public Health and / or Health Administration students if applicable.
What we are looking for:
- Faculty should hold the appropriate graduate degree, (e.g., MPH, MHA, MSHA, MPA, PhD, EdD, etc.) in public health or health administration or closely related discipline relevant to the department's academic curricula.
- Must be familiar with innovative teaching methodologies and effective student evaluation methods.
- Must be a member in good standing in appropriate professional organizations.
- Candidates located in Iowa are preferred; however, applicants from Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, or Indiana may also be considered.
