Job Description
Position Summary
- Manages a YSLLP middle school classroom on select days
- Tutors students
- Occasionally assist with student recruitment for YSLLP programming
- Collects data
Responsibilities
- Checks attendance every period and maintains accurate records in YSLPP room
- Checks school attendance against YSLPP attendance and reports discrepancies to the main office
- Maintains orderly environment
- Tutors students in math, science and all other core subjects
- Occasionally coordinates/participates in community service activities and keeps accurate records for each student's community service hours
- May perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree required, pursuing secondary education certification or Master's degree preferred
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to tutor middle school subject levels
- Multi-tasking
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to relate to students of all ages and ethnic groups
- Strong computer skills
- Possession of a valid U.S. drivers license that will meet insurance company rules and regulations for driving underwriting criteria, preferred
