Job Description

Join North Idaho College Head Start as a Classroom Teacher in Sandpoint and help shape a strong foundation for young children and families. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable professional who is passionate about early childhood education and creating safe and engaging learning environments.

In this role, you will implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, support childrens intellectual, physical, and social-emotional growth, and build positive relationships with families and community partners. Responsibilities include conducting classroom activities, completing child assessments and documentation, supporting developmental goals, conducting home visits and parent-teacher conferences, and collaborating with classroom teams to ensure quality services and smooth center operations.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Candidates should also have basic computer skills and a positive, team-oriented approach to supporting children and families.
