Family Advocate
Job Description
North Idaho College Head Start is seeking a community-focused Family Advocate in Post Falls dedicated to supporting children and families through high-quality family services. In this role, you will build meaningful relationships with families, conduct home visits, assist with family goal setting, provide referrals and crisis support, and connect families with community resources. You will also support recruitment and enrollment efforts, participate in classroom activities, facilitate parent meetings, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with staff and community partners to ensure comprehensive services for children and families.
We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills who can work effectively with others. Successful candidates will demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, flexibility, and a positive approach to early childhood education, health, and family services. Candidates should be comfortable using computers and common software for communication, documentation, and data management while representing the Head Start program with professionalism and care.
