Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Clinical Assistant to join Office of the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Health.
The QUT Health Clinics Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing reliable and efficient support in the day-to-day clinical operations of the QUT Health Clinics, including sterilisation processes, preparation of clinic rooms, equipment and consumables across all clinic disciplines.

What you need to succeed
- Completion of an associate diploma with relevant experience in Allied Health or a similar healthcare setting and preferably hold a Certificate III in Sterilisation or relevant qualifications/experience equivalent to these certifications. Registered Nurse (RN), or Enrolled Nurse (EN), or Assistant in Nursing (AIN) who is currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and client service skills including the ability to clearly communicate, liaise with individuals both internal and external to an organisation in achieving business outcomes, as well as proven ability to use initiative and to work effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Highly developed organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and manage time efficiently, meet tight deadlines and maintain desired work activities for clinical documentation and record keeping.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety in a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated digital literacy skills including the ability to use a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Office and databases.
