Job Description

The Clinical Audiologist oversees the clinical operations of the Salmon Audiology Clinic. This role involves managing the clinic's daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with accreditation and licensing standards. The audiologist will collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to support the clinic's educational and service missions.

This is a 12 month 32 hours per week position (.75 FTE).

This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinic Operations and Schedule
    • Oversee the daily operations of the audiology clinic, including patient scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance
  • Administrative and Leadership Duties:
    • Manage clinic budgets, including purchasing supplies and tracking expenditures
  • Patient Care and Community Engagement
    • Deliver direct clinical services to patients as needed, including diagnostics, intervention, and counseling

Minimum Qualifications

  • Earned master's degree (e.g., MS, MA) and/or doctoral degree in Audiology (e.g., AuD, PhD)
  • Be eligible for Idaho licensure as an audiologist
  • Have a minimum of three years (post graduation) of clinical audiology experience
  • Be eligible for American Speech/Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)
  • Evidence of strong collaboration skills
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of hearing-aid experience with multiple product lines and manufacturers
  • Experience supervising and instructing graduate students in a clinical environment
  • Experience in implantable devices, especially with cochlear implants
  • Interest in and experience with auditory brainstem response evaluation
  • Interest in and/or experience with vestibular assessment and management
  • Interest in and/or experience in business administration and/or private practice clinical activities

Additional Information

Salary will be between $63,000 - $68,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
