The department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is seeking a physiatrist with a sub-specialty of cancer rehabilitation. The PM&R cancer rehabilitation program is a flagship program and nationally recognized. The program provides essential care to anyone with a history of cancer at Michigan Medicine, at any stage in treatment, both inpatient and outpatient. This faculty member would work closely with medical and radiation oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, and others to treat neurologic, musculoskeletal, and cognitive effects of cancer and cancer treatment. Their anticipated weekly schedule will include 4.5 days (9 sessions) of clinical care.

The candidate must have the excellent clinical skills and knowledge base needed to work independently. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clinical teaching is required. We value strong communication skills and place an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.

The ideal candidate should have an MD or DO. They should hold or can obtain the appropriate medical licensure in the State of Michigan, as well as be board certified or board eligible.

This position is posted as Clinical Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Associate Professor /Clinical Professor. The rank of the selected candidate will depend upon candidate's qualifications.
