Clinical Lecturer
Role type: Part-time fixed term (0.1 FTE – 0.8 FTE) or Casual employment

Salary: Academic Level B - $122,212 - $145,121 p.a. (pro-rata for part-time), plus 17% super. A clinical loading of $13,494 p.a pro rata for dentally qualified academics. Casual positions: Hourly rates available upon request, 12% super.
Provide clinical supervision and teaching in Melbourne Dental School, guiding students in evidence-based dentistry. Play a vital role in guiding and supporting students through hands-on clinical and/or pre-clinical learning and teaching activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support Subject Coordinators and Component Convenors in the successful delivery of teaching to a high standard to students undertaking clinical degree programs.
- Develop and contribute to a high standard of education to students undertaking a clinical degree program based on the program curriculum and coursework.
- Provide clinical practice leadership and education to coursework students.
- Opportunity to contribute to the delivery of continuing professional development (CPD) courses offered by the School.
- If applicable, engage in scholarly activity appropriate to the level of your appointment, to support, enable and disseminate teaching practice within the discipline.
- If applicable, contribute to and engage with the assessment process and provision of student feedback in line with identified and agreed assessment philosophy.
You may be a great fit if: You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse students and patients. You are highly motivated, capable of working both independently and collaboratively, and possess a commitment to ongoing professional development and teaching excellence in a clinical setting.
You may also have: A primary dental qualification registrable with the Dental Board of Australia and current AHPRA registration (no previous or current AHPRA conditions). A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification clinical experience in dentistry with a demonstrated exposure to a diverse range of dental procedures and patient cases. Clinical practice skills supported by contemporary evidence-based dental practice. Evidence of ongoing extra-mural clinical practice and continuing professional development. Highly motivated to develop skills consistent with teaching excellence. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team in a coordinated teaching environment.
