Your Role on the Team

Position Summary: The Ambulatory Nurse Educator is responsible for the design and implementation of education programs and professional development of nurses in the Ambulatory setting; focused on clinical outcomes and practice development. Will work closely with department managers and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) on the educational needs assessment and orientation programs for staff, in the Ambulatory nursing division. Ensures that competencies and skills are current and relevant for the nursing staff.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in an Ambulatory Setting
  • Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
  • Demonstrated teaching/education/in-service skills with the ability to lead effectively
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office Products, including Word & Outlook
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Experience in adult education
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science, Nursing
  • MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
