Texas Lutheran University (TLU) offers dynamic and comprehensive Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and direct-entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) pre-licensure nursing programs designed to prepare students for a successful career in nursing through flexible campus-based, hybrid, and online formats. With multiple pathways tailored to students’ education and experience, TLU offers the BSN as a traditional program on the residential campus and for students who have a non-nursing bachelor’s or associate degree, the Accelerated BSN program is available in hybrid or online formats that can be completed in 16 months. Additionally, students with a non-nursing bachelor’s degree may enter the direct-entry MSN and complete in as few as 20 months. Both the BSN and MSN include 900 or more hours of hands-on experience offered through labs, simulations, and real-world clinical placements to ensure graduates are confident, competent, and career ready.

The Department of Nursing has approval from the Texas Board of Nursing to offer the accelerated BSN and direct entry MSN nursing degrees. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing and master's degree program in nursing at Texas Lutheran University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (www.ccneaccreditation.org). The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for a nursing career and requires all students to be involved in evidence-based practice projects or faculty-mentored research.
