The primary role of the Clinical Research Coordinator is to provide support for multiple research studies in the department of Maternal and Fetal Medicine by screening patients for eligibility, explaining details of research studies to patients, obtaining informed consent, enrolling participants, data collection and entry, and maintaining and ensuring accuracy of all study documentation.

The primary role of the Clinical Research Coordinator is to provide support for multiple research studies in the department of Maternal and Fetal Medicine by screening patients for eligibility, explaining details of research studies to patients, obtaining informed consent, enrolling participants, data collection and entry, and maintaining and ensuring accuracy of all study documentation.
- Assist in the management and implementation of multiple research studies in Maternal Fetal Medicine according to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
- Provide support for research studies by screening patients for eligibility, explaining details of research studies to patients, obtaining informed consent, enrolling participants, data collections and entry, and maintaining and ensuring accuracy of all documentation.
- Collect and process biospecimens including (but not limited to): vaginal/cervical, blood, urine, buccal swabs.
- Work closely with the Principal Investigators(s), Director, and study team to communicate research progress, complete case report forms, and address data queries in a timely fashion.
- Complete relevant training to perform the role, including in good clinical practices, electronic medical records, biological specimen collect/shipment/storage, and research billing.
- Intercept and respond to research participants phone calls. Perform telephone recruitment and follow-up as needed.
Position contingent upon funding.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Related experience in research preferred but not required. Must be able to work flexible hours.
Position requires a highly motivated, articulate individual with excellent oral and written communication skills. The candidate should possess the ability to work independently and also as part of a team. Strong planning, organizational and prioritizing capabilities along with problem solving skills desired.
