Clinical Site Lecturer (0.3 FTE)
Based in the College of Health, located between the Adelaide Health & Medical Sciences Building, and the Clinical Hospital Teaching sites (Lyell McEwin, Modbury, The Queen Elizabeth, Royal Adelaide)
Part-time (0.3 FTE), continuing position
Salary range: $114,917-$135,932 per annum (pro rata), plus clinical loading (if applicable) (plus 17% superannuation)
Role Summary
The School of Medicine are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated lecturer to be part of a team of clinical site lecturers who assist in the delivery of clinical practice curriculum for our Year 3 students. In this role you will collaborate closely with other academics to ensure the effective integration of content in workshop and tutorial activities.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an academic with a background in teaching and clinical practice to contribute to medical education for the AU.
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as the role involves liaising with casual tutors, academics and clinical titleholders. Due to timetabling limitations, availability to work on Tuesdays is essential.
Knowledge of assessments is desirable as the role requires you to assist with the delivery and development of workplace-based assessments and OSCE’s.

The successful candidate will primarily be based at one of the Clinical Hospital Teaching sites, playing a pivotal role in the delivery of teaching and assessment, and coordination of site-based teaching activities.

To be successful you will need:
- Current valid AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner with experience working in Australia as a medical practitioner and an awareness of clinical resources to ensure teaching materials reflect best practice.
- Valid Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) Public Patient Indemnity insurance or a commitment to arrange this prior to commencement if required.
- Demonstrated experience in innovative teaching methods at a tertiary level &/or postgraduate qualifications in medical education.
- Proven ability to contribute successfully to a multidisciplinary work environment, including excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience with online learning management systems and information technologies to support student learning.
- A student-focussed approach to education, including the ability to provide and respond to high-level feedback.
