Clinical Trials Monitor

Queen Mary University of London - Wolfson Institute

Location:London
Salary:£40,015 to £46,618 per annum.
Hours:Full Time
Contract Type:Fixed-Term/Contract
Placed On:5th September 2025
Closes:3rd October 2025
Job Ref:7357

About the Role
The post holder’s primary role will be to conduct on-site monitoring visits for the Thromboprophylaxis in Lower Limb Immobilisation (TiLLI) clinical trial and coordinate and manage the study alongside the Senior Trial Manager and the Trial management Group.
TiLLI is a pragmatic open-label, linked pair of multicentre randomised controlled trials of an Investigational Medicinal Product (CTIMP). TiLLI-High aims to investigate the most effective and cost-effective method of pharmacological prophylaxis in a population at higher risk of VTE. TiLLI-Low aims to investigate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of giving pharmacological prophylaxis to a lower risk population compared to the standard of care lifestyle advice.

About You
The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum of undergraduate degree level and have experience monitoring multi-centre CTIMP studies. The ideal candidate will be able to work flexibly, independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is an exciting and dynamic environment, home to 450 staff, 100 PhD students and 500 postgraduate taught students. It harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six research centres which, though complementary and following the Institute’s strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements.
The postholder will be based in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods, a thriving research centre incorporating four collaborative units working closely together to deliver outstanding research based on their combined and complementary research strengths. PCTU is a registered UKCRC trials unit which leads and supports clinical trials in which the primary question of interest relates to intervention effectiveness: whether an intervention works under real-life conditions.
