Clinician Educator in Paediatric Rheumatology
The Department of Paediatrics, in the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, invite applications for a Contingent Term appointment in academic paediatric rheumatology at the Associate Professor Level.
Qualifications include an MD, certification or eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Paediatrics and Paediatric Rheumatology, or equivalent certification from another professional association. Applicants must show evidence of successful teaching (as evidenced by teaching awards and recognition) and evidence of established academic engagement and leadership in professional and other communities. Applicants must present evidence of established, externally funded (at the level of Tri-Council or equivalent peer reviewed National/International organization) research, and a strong publication record as evidenced by a sustained record of publication.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 15 years of active practice in Paediatric Rheumatology in an academic setting and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Formal leadership experience and expertise in undergraduate medical education is required, including demonstrated experience with undergraduate medical education curriculum design, admissions and evaluation. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated interest and impact in health equity, including evidence of leadership, education and scholarship in this area.
This will include external funding, publications and presentations in the field of health equity.
