Job Summary
This position is responsible for all academic support services and
community engagement for designated state support and self-support
Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs and Master of
Science (MS) graduate programs including, but not limited to,
on-line admission processes, academic counseling, probation
counseling, and monitoring of academic progress to meet degree
requirements. They work directly with applicants, matriculated
graduate students, program alumni, Program Advisory Boards, College
of Business Administration (CBA) faculty and other administrators,
the Center for International Education, the Career Development
Center, Enrollment Services, and the College of Professional &
Continuing Education (CPaCE).

Duration of Appointment
This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status
granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending
date.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and
qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal
equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
- Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $5,540 -
$6,182 per month commensurate with candidate's education,
experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary
Range for this position is $5,540 - $7,893 per month.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This position is a student-focused higher education professional
with experience in graduate recruitment, admissions, advising, and
program administration. They excel at engaging prospective students
through outreach events, presentations, virtual information
sessions, and personalized follow-up, while effectively managing
admissions processes through systems such as Salesforce, WebAdmit,
and Cal State Apply. They provide comprehensive academic advising,
helping students navigate degree requirements, university policies,
enrollment, and academic progress, while connecting them to campus
resources that support their success.
The ideal candidate is highly organized and collaborative, with the
ability to coordinate orientations, student engagement activities,
graduation events, and career development initiatives that foster a
strong graduate student community. They maintain accurate student
records, monitor enrollment trends, assist with course scheduling,
and work closely with faculty, administrators, and campus partners
to ensure efficient program operations. Committed to exceptional
customer service, they support office functions, advisory board
activities, and student assistants while managing multiple
priorities with professionalism, attention to detail, and a
commitment to student success.

Education and Experience
• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree with upper or graduate
coursework in counseling and guidance, human relations, or related
fields, and three years of professional experience in one of the
student services program areas required.
• Master's in Education, Counseling, MBA, or MS in Business
Administration or related field preferred.
