Collaborative Pianist - 10 Month Position
Position Details
The Indiana State University School of Music is searching to fill the role of Collaborative Pianist. The chosen candidate will perform as a collaborative pianist for students and ensembles, coordinate and manage a roster of professional and student accompanists, and accompany or assign accompanists for student, faculty, and guest artist recitals and prospective student auditions. Additional duties include teaching, accompanying and The Piano in Ensemble classes when offered and coordinating with the Music Office on piano tuning and upkeep.
Required Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a master's degree in a music related degree and 5-6 years of related experience.
Job Summary
Perform as a collaborative pianist for students and ensembles. Coordinate and manage a roster of professional and student accompanists. Accompany or assign accompanists for student, faculty, and guest artist recitals and prospective student auditions. Teach Accompanying and The Piano in Ensemble classes. Hours will include evenings and weekend times.
