Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or other credential related to education, or a combination of education and experience to be successful in the role.
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to work with multiple constituents throughout the state and region
- Experience working with underrepresented and underserved students and their families
- Travel and the ability to work some evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Virginia Tech knowledge through education or work experience Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with college access, student success and retention strategies
- Familiarity with federal financial aid programs
- Basic data analysis skills
