Recruit Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, National Guard
members, Reservists, recently separated service members, and
veteran alumni with some college credit but no completed
credential.
Build and maintain relationships with military installations,
transition-assistance programs, veteran service organizations,
workforce boards, employers, community colleges, community
organizations, and other referral partners.
Promote academic and credential pathways in information
technology and cybersecurity, advanced manufacturing and skilled
trades, business and leadership, healthcare and allied health,
logistics and supply chain management, and public safety and
emergency management.
Develop clear, audience-appropriate communications explaining
military credit evaluation, the ACE Military Guide, PLA, academic
pathways, industry-recognized credentials, and participant support
services.
Plan and coordinate recruitment events, community
presentations, workshops, webinars, information sessions,
military-affiliated events, and employer-engagement
activities.
Manage communications and marketing campaigns across email,
web, social media, print, and community-based channels.
Create outreach materials, presentations, participant success
stories, and informational resources in collaboration with
appropriate institutional offices.
Respond to prospective participant inquiries and guide
individuals to the appropriate enrollment, transcript-submission,
PLA, academic advising, military benefits, and career-support
resources.
Coordinate with the Program Coordinator to facilitate a smooth
transition from initial inquiry to enrollment and onboarding.
Develop engagement initiatives that support participant
persistence, retention, program completion, and connection to
academic and career resources.
Maintain regular communication with participants regarding
programming milestones, workshops, credential opportunities,
deadlines, and available support.
Track outreach activities, inquiries, referrals, event
participation, applications, enrollment conversions, retention, and
other performance indicators.
Use participant and outreach data to evaluate campaign
effectiveness and recommend adjustments to recruitment and
engagement strategies.
Support annual enrollment goals of approximately 150–300 VADSM
participants and the program’s planned growth to more than 500
participants within three years.
Ensuring outreach activities and communications comply with
institutional policies, grant requirements, branding standards,
FERPA, and applicable state and federal requirements.
Prepare outreach and engagement updates for institutional
leadership, grant administrators, and program partners.
Perform other duties related to the growth and successful
delivery of the CCH Program.

Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in communications,
marketing, public relations, social work, education, workforce
development, public administration, or a related field.

Required:
- Experience in outreach, recruitment, marketing, community
engagement, admissions, veteran services, or a related area.
- Demonstrated experience developing relationships with community
organizations and external stakeholders.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal
communication skills.
- Ability to plan events, coordinate multiple projects, and
manage outreach schedules.
- Ability to collect, maintain, and report outreach and
participant-engagement data.
- Proficiency with standard office technology, digital
communication platforms, social media, and database or customer
relationship management systems.
- Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical
infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer
networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid,
hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.
Preferred:
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
- Direct experience working with Veterans, Active-Duty Service
Members, National Guard members, Reservists, military families, or
veteran-serving organizations.
- Experience partnering with military installations,
transition-assistance programs, workforce agencies, employers, or
community-based organizations.
- Understanding of the challenges associated with transitioning
from military service to civilian education and employment.
- Familiarity with the ACE Military Guide, Joint Services
Transcript, PLA, military credit evaluation, and academic
credit-articulation practices.
- Experience recruiting adult learners, transfer students,
returning students, or underserved populations.
- Experience supporting a grant-funded education, workforce, or
community-engagement program.
- Knowledge of workforce pathways and industry-recognized
credentials in the program’s targeted disciplines.
