Instructor of Finance (2 Openings)

The successful candidates will teach finance courses at either undergraduate and/or graduate programs, including executive education programs, depending on departmental needs and the candidate’s qualifications. Emphasis will be placed on demonstrated experience and excellence in teaching. Instructors normally teach a 4-4 course load (four courses in the fall, four courses in the spring) including limited service and research duties as appropriate. Additional summer teaching may be available pending department needs and budget approval, but these assignments are not guaranteed. Instructors are expected to sustain sufficient scholarship and/or professional engagement activities needed to maintain AACSB faculty qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
• An earned doctorate in finance or closely related field from a university with AACSB or similar business accreditation, conferred by the effective date of employment is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching finance courses in an accredited (AACSB or similar) undergraduate or graduate business program. The main teaching responsibilities will be in the areas of corporate finance, international finance, financial institutions & markets and investments.
• Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching (as demonstrated through evidence including teaching evaluations, certifications, teaching awards, peer reviews of teaching, etc.)
• Certification and/or experience in teaching fully online and/or hybrid delivery platforms.
• Experience in teaching graduate and/or executive programs is preferred.
• Relevant industry experience in a professional role the financial industry is preferred.

Assistant Professor of Finance

The successful candidate will teach finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including MBA, MSF, and PhD programs, as well as executive programs, and maintain an active program of research and publications appropriate for maintaining AACSB Scholarly Academic qualifications at an R1 institution, as classified by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. They will participate in appropriate service to the department, college, university, community, and profession. Emphasis will be placed on producing scholarly research in top-tier, peer-reviewed finance journals. The College is highly supportive of research and provides access to a wide range of databases. The department offers both a BBA and a BS in Finance at the undergraduate level, along with required courses and electives in the MBA program, an MSF program through our Market Rate programs, and an active Ph.D. program. Faculty also participate in the Executive Ph.D. program by teaching both the required finance courses and supervising dissertations. The department has over 700 students in the BBA and BS program, approximately 40 MBA and MSF students (each), and 15 doctoral students. The department’s active doctoral program typically provides faculty access to doctoral student research assistants.
Minimum Qualifications:
• An earned doctorate in finance or closely related field from a university with AACSB or similar business accreditation, conferred by the effective date of employment.
• Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching as instructor of record at an accredited (AACSB or similar) university.
• Strong quantitative skills (Python, R, SAS, Stata, or similar) and expertise in current empirical finance methods and databases used in finance research.
• Certification or experience in online teaching is preferred.
• Candidates with demonstrable evidence of scholarship beyond the dissertation are preferred.
• Candidates with research and teaching interests from all areas of finance are welcome to apply, including, but not limited to, asset pricing, corporate finance, financial institutions & markets, investments, and international finance.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing

The successful candidate will teach marketing courses in both undergraduate and graduate programs, including MBA and doctoral programs, as well as executive programs; must maintain an active program of research and publications appropriate for maintaining AACSB Scholarly Academic qualifications at a Research 1 institution; and will participate in appropriate service to the department, college, university, community, and profession. Emphasis will be placed on producing scholarly research in top-tier peer-reviewed marketing and business journals.
Minimum Qualifications:
• An earned doctorate in marketing or related field from a university with AACSB or similar business accreditation, conferred by the effective date of employment.
• Demonstrated record of ability to publish quality scholarly research in peer-reviewed academic journals and conferences.
• Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching as instructor of record at an accredited (AACSB or similar) university.
• Certification or experience in online teaching preferred.
• The ideal candidate will have research and teaching interests focused on digital/social media marketing, marketing data analytics, artificial intelligence, or sales. However, all areas of teaching and research focus will be considered.

Instructor of Marketing (2 openings)

• Minimum of four (4) semesters of previous experience teaching marketing courses in an accredited (AACSB or similar) undergraduate or graduate business program.
• Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching (as demonstrated through evidence including teaching evaluations, certifications, teaching awards, peer reviews of teaching, etc.)
• Certification and/or experience in teaching fully online and/or hybrid delivery platforms.
• Experience in teaching graduate and/or executive programs is preferred.
• Relevant industry experience in a professional marketing role is preferred.
• Experience in or expertise relevant to teaching in the areas of marketing management/strategy, marketing analytics, social/digital marketing, sales and sales management, healthcare marketing, sports marketing, or international/global marketing are preferred, but all areas of teaching experience in marketing courses will be considered.
• An earned Ph.D. in marketing or related field with a demonstrated record of consistent and recent publications or acceptances in peer-reviewed academic journals and conferences is preferred. Any area of research focus in marketing will be considered.

Instructor of Economics (Non-Tenure Track)

The successful candidate will teach a range of economics courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, depending on qualifications. The standard teaching load is 4 courses per semester (fall and spring). Instructors are also expected to contribute to limited service and maintain professional or scholarly engagement activities to satisfy AACSB faculty qualification standards. Courses are delivered in multiple formats—including traditional in-person lectures, hybrid/lecture-capture, and fully online. Candidates should be comfortable and interested in teaching across these formats as well as in different term lengths (16-week semesters, 8-week fast-track sessions, and intersession offerings). Courses may be assigned at the Boca Raton campus or other FAU campuses, such as Davie or Fort Lauderdale. Summer teaching opportunities may be available, subject to departmental needs and budget approval.
Minimum Qualifications
•Master’s degree or higher in Economics from a university accredited by AACSB or a similar business accreditation, conferred by the start of employment.
•At least four semesters of experience teaching economics courses in an AACSB-accredited (or equivalent) undergraduate or graduate program.
•Demonstrated record of teaching excellence, as evidenced by course evaluations, peer reviews, teaching awards, or similar documentation.
•Interest in and/or proven ability to take on student-focused service activities such as advising student organizations, contributing to curriculum or course development, program administration, or supervising undergraduate research.

Assistant/Associate Professor in Health Administration

The Department of Management Programs invites applications for a tenure-track position in the health care management area, at the rank of Assistant (Senior Assistant preferred) or Associate Professor, to begin in Fall 2026. FAU is a Carnegie R1 institution, and this position carries research expectations consistent with that designation. Candidates would be expected to maintain an active program of high-quality research, a commitment to rigorous and engaging teaching of healthcare management courses at both the undergraduate and the graduate levels, and the ability to participate in appropriate types of service to the program, department, college, university, community, and profession. The successful candidate will also contribute to an atmosphere of collegiality within the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
• We seek a scholar with a completed doctorate in health care management or a related field from an accredited (AACSB or similar) university by the effective date of employment. ABD status applicants will be considered if the completion date is before the appointment.
• Candidates should be strongly committed to high-quality scholarly research. The candidate should have a record of or clear potential for publications in top-tier journals.
Preferred qualifications:
• Preference will be given to candidates who show evidence of advancing research and building a national scholarly reputation. Documented refereed research accomplishments (i.e., publications in top-tier health administration and management journals, research grants) are required at the Associate Professor rank and preferred at the Assistant Professor rank.
• Ideal candidates should also have a record of excellence in teaching a variety of courses in health care administration at an accredited (AACSB or similar) university. They should be academically and/or professionally qualified to teach various courses at both the undergraduate and the graduate levels in face-to-face, hybrid, and online delivery formats.
• Ideal candidates should have expertise in any of the following fields: health care quality, health care systems, organizational behavior, and organizational strategy.

Assistant/Associate Professor in Management

Tenure-track position in the Business Strategy Area, at the rank of Assistant (Senior Assistant preferred) or Associate Professor. FAU is a Carnegie R1 institution, and this position carries research expectations consistent with that designation. We seek a scholar with a completed PhD from an AACSB (or equivalent) university in a relevant field with emphasis on strategic management, a record or clear potential for publishing in top-tier journals and demonstrated excellence in teaching. The ideal candidate is committed to advancing strategy research and building a scholarly national reputation. A complementary interest in International Business or entrepreneurship is desirable. Responsibilities include publishing in leading strategy journals; teaching strategy courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD levels (primarily at Florida Atlantic's Boca Raton campus) and contributing to departmental and college service. The successful candidate will also contribute to an atmosphere of collegiality within the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
We seek a scholar with a completed PhD from an AACSB (or equivalent) university in a relevant field with emphasis on strategic management, a record or clear potential for publishing in top-tier journals and demonstrated excellence in teaching. The ideal candidate is committed to advancing strategy research and building a scholarly national reputation. A complementary interest in International Business or entrepreneurship is desirable.
