Position Description
Represent Texas Tech University both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, staff, and faculty of colleges and universities to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals. Coordinate and contribute to the success of various visit schedules for colleges and universities in the assigned area. Plan assigned recruiting events and programs. Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the university.
Major/Essential Functions
- Identify and implement proactive partnerships with school districts and community colleges in Texas, with a focus on supporting distance student recruitment.
- Develop and execute targeted recruitment plans in collaboration with college administrators.
- Organize and participate in recruitment events, both in-person and virtual, to promote teacher education programs.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and disseminate engaging recruitment materials, automated communication, and marketing across various platforms.
- Analyze enrollment data to inform recruitment strategies and report findings to stakeholders.
- Develop an understanding of all undergraduate programs, including program requirements, target audience, resources, and any state certifications offered.
- Coordinate outreach efforts between faculty, school administrators, principals, and district leaders to introduce professional development and undergraduate opportunities tailored to their workforce.
- Provide reports to faculty about recruitment efforts in department meetings on a standing basis.
- Work with college undergraduate student staff to recruit and retain students.
- Monitor national and state trends in undergraduate recruitment and identify additional student recruitment opportunities.
- Advise students toward admission by knowing degree requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus one year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal five years.
This position requires eligibility to drive TTU vehicles, including a valid U.S. driver license and two years of driving experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong, effective communication skills, strong technology skills, highly organized, friendly and outgoing personality. knowledge of recruiting, ability to work independently, ability to travel, ability to multi-task.
- Experience in higher education, admissions and recruitment.
- Experience with Banner, Salesforce, and other Texas Tech University systems.
- Marketing and public relations experience.
Pay Range
$17.69 - $22.98 - $28.32
