Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $44,200 - Midpoint: $55,300 (Salaried E6)
Department/Organization: 216112 - UHP Recruiting
Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; travel to recruitment sites, including evenings and occasional weekends.
Job Summary: The College Student Recruitment Coordinator organizes and coordinates the recruitment operations for the college. Seeks out potential candidates by representing the college at high schools, community colleges, and professional association gatherings. Coordinates and/or delivers the college's presentations at campus recruitment events. Develops and executes initiatives focused on enhancing student recruitment rates.
Additional Department Summary: Implements key recruitment strategies developed by the college, to achieve institutional and departmental goals toward the recruitment, retention, and enrollment of high achieving Honors College Students. Serves as a representative of the University of Alabama and Honors College both on and off campus, as well as a liaison to campus partners and community stakeholders. Serves as a resource for applicants. Identifies and implements innovative strategies to reach targeted populations for in-state recruitment. Organizes and prepares presentations and recruitment events on behalf of the Honors College. Supports greater institutional recruitment efforts as a representative at counselor briefings, recruitment receptions, college fairs, and high school visits. Keeps accurate records for college assessment needs. Supervises and supports student interns and Honors College Ambassadors.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Interest in working with prospective college students and their families. Ability to work with various groups of people. Basic desktop computing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications experience; OR master's degree and some recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications experience.
