Work Location
Please note that this role offers flexibility in where you are based and how you work. You will work closely with teams at both Warwick and LSE. However, due to the nature of the position most of your duties requiring in person attendance will be in London. This includes an expectation to attend and run regular (at least twice a month) events at LSE, as well as spending some time at the University of Warwick to collaborate with colleagues. This will sometimes include working outside of standard working hours. This flexible, multi-site approach is an integral part of working within a joint research centre and provides the opportunity to engage with teams and stakeholders across both institutions.
The Centre for the Analysis of Taxation (CenTax) is a research centre dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of taxation policies and practices. Led by Dr Arun Advani (Warwick) and Dr Andy Summers (LSE), research is undertaken to generate rigorous quantitative evidence on tax policies, develop targeted and feasible reforms, and communicate findings transparently to policy, media and civil society stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering the external profile of the Centre, working closely with the Directors, Policy Fellow, and Centre Manager, you will produce clear, engaging communications that showcase CenTax’s research and strengthen its reputation as a trusted voice in evidence-based tax policy.
Alongside communications, the role will take ownership of a varied and high-profile events programme, delivering seminars, workshops, conferences and roundtables for academic, policy and public audiences. You will manage events end-to-end – from planning and promotion through to delivery and evaluation—ensuring a professional and engaging experience for all participants. This will include coordinating a seminar series, supporting a major conferences, and delivering roundtables for senior policy stakeholders.
This role offers the chance to work at the intersection of research, policy and public engagement, supporting the Centre to maximise its impact and influence across government, media and civil society.
