Job Description
The Community Health Worker (CHW) Trainer serves as a part-time, instructional professional responsible for delivering high-quality Community Health Worker education and workforce development training through Ohio University. The trainer plays a critical role in preparing future Community Health Workers by providing instruction, mentorship, and guidance that supports student success, workforce readiness, and compliance with Ohio Community Health Worker certification standards.
This position is part of a candidate pool established to meet instructional needs during the academic year. Successful applicants may be considered for future teaching opportunities based on program needs, enrollment, and performance. Training will be offered online with three in-person sessions held on the Ohio University campus.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree in public health, Nursing, Social Work, or related field or equivalent work experience.
At least two years of experience in community health and/or social services practice.
