Community Interventional Radiologist
The Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Maryland is recruiting an additional full-time community faculty physician at an Assistant / Associate Professor level, appointed by the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Applicants should have a strong track record of clinical excellence with an interest/commitment in building IR practice at the UM Capital Medical Center, Largo, MD and our practices in Baltimore based out of the University of Maryland Medical Center.
The successful candidate will become a member of our department and its IR division with expectations of clinical effort and programmatic development, while collaborating and working toward the goals and vision of the department and its IR division. This position is for a board certified / board eligible, IR fellowship/residency-trained radiologist with strong interests in Community Interventional Radiology operations/practice build.
The successful candidate is expected to become a member of IR division and develop IR program at the UM Capital Regional Health at its new flagship hospital in Largo, MD and at the University of Maryland Medical Center. The successful candidate is expected to take IR call at the UM Capital Medical Center.
The new UM Capital Regional Medical Center in Largo, MD is a new, state-of-the art health care facility opened in June, 2021. The hospital features a state-of-the art IR suite. With its tertiary care services, including level 2 trauma, heart & vascular center, medical subspecialty services and upcoming cancer center, the UM Capital Regional Medical Center is the University of Maryland Medical System’s flagship tertiary care hospital in Prince George’s county.
