About the Team:
The College of Sport, Health and Engineering (CoSHE) is comprised of six (6) Program areas, along with professional and technical support. It delivers and administers a wide range of under-graduate and post-graduate courses across several of the VU campuses. Courses are in the areas of sport, health, biomedicine, build environment and engineering. This position sits within the program area of Biomedical and Life Sciences.
About the Role: The Community Partner Coordinator is responsible for liaising with external organisations and partners, recruiting groups to attend the VU Cooking, Healthy Eating and Wellness (CHEW) Program which provides students with a unique opportunity to work with community groups educating and empowering them to make healthier food and lifestyle choices.. They are also responsible for ensuring all resources and equipment are available during the program.
Position Key Duties
An example of your responsibilities or duties you may perform will include:
Liaise with and recruit groups to attend CHEW from local community organisations
Ensure all resources and equipment are available for efficient program delivery
Undertake all administration and record keeping in relation to the CHEW program
Maintain safe food handling and OH&S requirements and reporting related to the CHEW program
Salary: HEP 5 $79,135-$90,899 (pro-rata) classification plus 17% employer superannuation
Employment Type: Part-time Continuing
Hours: 9.18 hours per week
Location: The position is located at our Werribee Campus.
The role will require the ability to work flexibly, with hours required varying depending on delivery of the CHEW program. However, hours will consist, on average, of 9.18 hours per week over the year. The position will require a Police and Working with Children Check

About You:
You will have completed a nutrition or health related degree with subsequent relevant work experience
You will be able to work independently and as part of a team
You will be able to communicate effectively to build and maintain relationships with community organisations and partners
You will have good organisational and administrative skills
The University is a Child Safe organisation. You will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
