The role:
You will work closely with the Conservation team to facilitate the preservation of unique cultural heritage collections, through the maintenance of excellent documentation and the procurement of specialist materials. Your work in support of conservation and collections care contributes to the overall good stewardship of Cambridge University Libraries collections, in keeping with professional and ethical standards of best practice, research and teaching, as well as exhibitions, loans, and digitisation.
As a Conservation Administrator, you will:
- Provide an administrative/secretarial service to the Conservation Department.
- Assist in monitoring resources e.g. finance/grants, expenditure against budgets as required.
- Facilitate procurement of conservation-grade materials from specialist suppliers.
What we are looking for:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Competent in standard software packages such as Microsoft Office.
- Experience meeting deadlines, while retaining good attention to detail.
- A high degree of accuracy.
