You don’t need to be a qualified lecturer we’ll provide full training. What matters most is your expertise, enthusiasm and passion for helping others learn.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging teaching across NC, HNC, and Graduate Apprenticeship degree programmes (SCQF 5–10)
- Teach in classrooms, workshops, labs and through blended learning
- Assist students in developing their knowledge, skills and confidence
- Develop high-quality learning materials and assessments
- Contribute to planning, curriculum development and continuous improvement
About You
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of an Honours degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Relevant, recent and demonstrable industry experience in civil engineering or construction management
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
Desirable Qualities
- Are a member of a relevant professional body (e.g. Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, the Institute of Highway Engineers)
- Are a strong communicator with effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Have a positive, student focused approach and a passion for helping others develop‑focused approach and a passion for helping others develop
- Are enthusiastic about ongoing professional growth and learning
Teaching experience is welcome but not essential,we’ll support your journey into education with full training and development.
