All applications must be submitted online, and should include: 1. a cover letter addressing the candidate’s interest in and suitability for the advertised position; 2. a detailed curriculum vitae; 3. a teaching dossier that includes: (a) a statement of teaching philosophy; (b) a statement outlining one’s contributions to inclusive practices in teaching; (c) evidence of teaching effectiveness, and (d) two sample course syllabi, one of which should address Introduction to Philosophy; 4. a writing sample of no more than 25 pages (or one published article); 5. and the names and contact information of three references.
Long-listed candidates will be given ten (10) working days for their letters of reference to be submitted.
While all applications will be considered, in accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given preference.
Understanding that career interruptions can have an impact on a candidate’s record of achievement, we encourage applicants to explain in their applications any impact that career interruptions have had on their record.
