Contract Transition Manager
We are looking for a Contract Transition Manager to join us at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Coordinating Centre here in Southampton. This pivotal role will help guide the transition from our current contract with the Department of Health and Social Care to a new delivery arrangement.

This newly created role will be central to managing the transition between contracts, ensuring continuity of service and compliance with existing obligations. You will support the NIHRCC Transition Group by coordinating meetings, developing agendas, tracking actions, and leading short-to medium-term projects related to the transition.
You should be able to work proactively with senior managers to help achieve the objectives for the Transition Group, being able to influence stakeholders and provide analysis and evaluation of specialised information, data and concepts, whilst being able to identify gaps in understanding.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing and managing transition plans for service delivery as we move from one contract to the next.
- Delivery on short and medium-term projects as set by the Transition group, acting as a specialist project manager.
- Using discretion and judgement to provide specialist advise, guidance and recommendations on the management of a change programme and their activities, supporting decision making and service delivery.
- Monitor and maintain records and reports to satisfy internal and external requirements.
- Preparing reports and communication for internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll be a knowledgeable and influential Change and Transition professional with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You will be able to bring substantial knowledge of project and change management.

- Be able to understand complex organisational problems that come with transition and resolve them with professional and specialist knowledge.

The role is offered at 35 hours per week, but we will consider part-time (minimum of 28 hours). Please indicate any preference on your application.
