Your next career opportunity:

As a Contracts Officer, you will play a vital role in negotiating and executing research agreements, providing commercial advice to internal stakeholders, and ensuring seamless contract management. You will have the opportunity to cultivate productive relationships within the Research Contracts team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the University, enhancing your skills in negotiation and contract law.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiate and Finalise Agreements: Review, advise, and finalise research and commercial engagement agreements, seeking legal advice as necessary.
  • Build Collaborative Relationships: Establish strong working relationships with researchers, RIC staff, Faculty staff, and external customers.
  • Support Contract Processing: Organise approval and signing of agreements, and report contract status to management.
  • Mentor Junior Staff: Mentor and buddy with junior Contracts Officers, fostering their development and skill enhancement.

Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (RIC) is a specialist team dedicated to enabling the University's research and innovation mission working closely with our academic and professional colleagues, industry partners, funding, and government agencies.

Please note: This role requires current valid work rights for Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available. A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required for all positions. If successful, we'll guide you through the WWCC application process during onboarding and reimburse the cost.
