"Coordinator for the Lab for Globalization and Shared Prosperity, Department of Government - Georgetown University College of Arts & Sciences"

The Coordinator for the Lab for Globalization and Shared Prosperity is a 1-year term position in the Department of Government at Georgetown University College of Arts & Sciences. The Coordinator will support a collaborative project with the Healthcare Regulatory Research Institute, involving the creation of a comprehensive dataset on the healthcare labor force and access to healthcare in the U.S., and analysis of the impact of global trade on these variables.

Requirements include a strong knowledge of microeconomics, international trade, labor, industrial organization, and political economy. Experience with coding, managing large databases, and data visualization is required.

Duties include:

• Collect and clean data to construct a dataset on the healthcare labor force and healthcare supply and demand
• Compose literature reviews on topics like healthcare deserts and senior healthcare
• Create data visualizations and run models to analyze effects
• Contribute to written reports to disseminate findings
• Manage a team of research assistants to ensure timely deliverables

The position reports to Professor Rudra and furthers Georgetown University's mission to promote social justice.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree; at least one year of work experience preferred
• Creative, flexible, and adaptable with excellent data collection, analysis, synthesis, and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams, connect details to larger conversations, and communicate effectively with decision-makers and policymakers
• Strong professional judgment and cultural competence in diverse contexts
